OMSI is a great place to bring your kids, so many interactive exhibits to expand your mind. The planetarium is awesome and they have a theater that plays educational documentaries and other things. The gift shop has done interesting things you can do with your child. If you are interested in engaging your child with nature and the world around them this place is a must go!

Submarine was a fun little experience. It’s been YEARS since I had been so this was a blast from the past. The tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly.
The museum itself was a bit of a let down. I remember it being so much more. The dinosaur exhibit is great, I promise. But, the rest of the museum lost its spark.

The staff was amazing and helpful!!! There new dinosaur exhibit and tour was very cool and exciting for children and adults alike. It was different to be able to experience first hand the uncovering/exposure of new fossils by an actual paleontologist. All around an amazing experience and we will definitely be doing it again

Great local art museum with a nice mix of galleries and artwork. The special exhibits can be quite impressive and I very much enjoyed the Ansel Adam’s exhibit. Their permanent collections have top notch art and there are enough galleries to keep you coming back again and again without seeing the same thing twice.

Saw the Ansel Adams exhibit last week, which was accompanied by other interesting photographers doing landscapes differently. Many of the more interesting ones are women, none of whom I’d heard of. Kudos to the curatorial team for bringing those photographers more attention. Definitely broadened my perspective on landscape photography. Great show.

Lovely museum with a diverse art collection covering a variety of mediums and eras. The museum map only tells you what floor you’re on, not the different collections. It’s easy to miss entire sections as a result. Be sure take advantage of the museum staff on each floor so you see all of this wonderful collection.

Tons of fun and great for a sunny day! A real great place especially since there is ice cream and bike u can rent! Just be careful, we saw homeless men riding their bikes right through the sprinklers while kids were running in the water, and when ur in their u can’t see much 😶

Very pretty area. Great for photos and sunsets. Lots of ducks. Watch out for bikes speeding (you’ll probably hear them before you see them though). There is a bike rental place nearby but the nearby public bathroom is very VERY gross. If you need to use a bathroom I suggest going to the nearby mall.

The smell of chlorine made me feel safe to let the kiddos play in the water, but the floor was not clean and I saw a lot of trash everywhere, i didn’t see policemen’s close by and I felt unsafe. Portland city mayor should clean better the park and keep more police officer on the areas. Is a beautiful ❤️ place to be not used by the citizens.

This is a great place to rest, let kids play in the fresh-water, chlorinated fountain, be shaded, and eat lunch. The deli next to the park has clean bathroom, exceptional food, and wonderful service. There’s plenty of seating at park, with benches and some tables. I’d recommend dropping by here if you are downtown but not worth the drive, if you aren’t already in the area. Shopping nearby at Nordstrom’s, Target, & TJ Max is a plus. (The only reason it’s not 5 stars is no public bathrooms, there are some homeless people (friendly) loitering around, not fenced-in for safety, and no coffee inside the park.)

This park was a nice place to unwind from being in the town and from people. There’s a couple of trails you can pick that are pretty nice to explore. There’s many birds and animals you can hear and different plants to see. A new plant I learned about has a berry called the salmon berry, probably named that due to the color, they’re edible too. Always do you research before eating something though. There’s some creeks and streams I’ve seen, not big enough for fishing though. Oh and don’t forget to bring plenty of water before you go.
If you want to go for a walk in nature, this is the place for you.

Not really much of a “park”. There’s just a single picnic table and a short trail that runs down the side of the hill. Smells like its been used as a hobo toilet for quite some time.
Nice place to pull over and smoke, but thats about it.

I loved this experience! I’ve been jet boating before but this company does it the best! Our captain was extremely funny. He also did several “spin outs” and hard breaking that got us soaked! I wish I had cash in a zip lock bag to give him for a tip. He was awesome! The background and history about Portland was also really cool, loved seeing the bridges, creepy buildings, waterfalls, and learning the history of Portland! Will absolutely go again!!

Went on 8/2/21 and it was a blast. From the moment you are loading onto the boat Captain Nicholas has you laughing and having a good time. It was a very informative tour and you definitely get wet. I would definitely request captain Nicholas every and anytime i did this trip. You will have a blast and laugh so much! Great dad jokes. Be prepared to get wet and hear him laugh. I liked how respectful the captain was to others on the water as well. Overall great experience! You guys Rock!

As it is in the middle of a crosswalk, you have oncoming traffic in both directions with no pedestrian crosswalk button to get out. Therefore, it is also dubbed the world’s most dangerous park per square foot.

I don’t know why but I find it hard to feel a connection with Morrison Bridge. Maybe because the highway structures at its east end are pretty complicated and it’s the least preferred bridge for runners among those in Portland city center. The area right under Morrison Bridge on the east bank is the only place in Portland that I feel a bit uneasy when running in the dark.

Out of town guests love getting back behind the one Cascade.
I remember when this fountain was opened. When the waters are rushing, it is a thrill. Back in the ’70s and ’80s I used to like to go there for lunch and have my feet in the water while I enjoyed a good sandwich. I would say, however, that there are all sorts of dangers connected to this fountain, and most certainly children always need supervision.

Also for those pokemongo players amazing spot for gyms and all. Please follow me, like and comment on stuff. This way I can earn my bases and know people like what I show them or at least enjoy. Thank you have a great time.

Went in today after living in the neighborhood for over a year. I moved here from South Carolina, and I’ve enjoyed learning more about my new home state. There’s lots of good information about the development of Oregon and Portland, with emphasis on the role people of color played in making it what it is today, as well as honest talk about the challenges

Looks like a pretty standard smallish office building. I’m not sure the purpose of the green tile at street level. It doesn’t enhance the rest of the facade. And frankly, it looks like it’s been some time since the face has been maintained. There’s no graffiti. Like an overdesigned bathroom. As it is, it’s not an eyesore. There’s a sculpture reminiscent of radio city musical. This being a iron lady with a trident instead. As is, I’m older than the building, and though others talk about its significance as a landmark; I fail to see how a mere municipal building in simplistic post-modernist style could be particularly landmark-ish. Personally, I much prefer the style of the courthouse across the street. What is obviously the best details here are the sculpture and the wonderful design of the nearby park.

If you’ve ever dealt with HSD (AKA DHS) and similar bureaucracies before, you’ll be glad to find that this is one of the better locations. The people there act like they care. Don’t get me wrong, they still process you like a number but the workers seem to be conscious of the fact that there’s a human life attached to that number. So… leaps ahead of offices in other states.
